I am thrilled to extend an invitation to the inaugural gathering of the Sejong Book Club—the one and only English book club in Sejong! Our mission is to create a vibrant community of literature enthusiasts who come together to explore captivating stories, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and share our collective love for books. Join us for this unique opportunity to connect with fellow readers and embark on a new journey!
For our first meeting, we have handpicked a remarkable novel that has enraptured readers worldwide: "Nightcrawling" by Leila Mottley. Chosen as a New York Times bestseller and an Oprah Book Club pick, this book introduces us to Kiara, a young Black woman navigating the streets of Oakland while confronting the failures of its justice system.
I have not started it yet, but it has been said to be an extraordinary novel that “effortlessly combines raw beauty, electrifying intensity, and piercing vulnerability.” Through its pages, I hope we can explore pressing social issues and unravel its layers of meaning, discussing themes of justice, resilience, and the unwavering human spirit.
